About Us

How did the House of Yahweh begin?

On June 29, 1973  Jacob Hawkins, while living in Nazareth, Israel, read an article in the Jerusalem Post, about an ancient House of Yahweh being unearthed in Tel Arad, Israel. He was then inspired on July 2, 1973 to create his organization called, "The House of Yahweh" in Nazareth, Israel.

The following year 1974 THE HOUSE OF YAHWEH was listed in 1974 Copyright edition of the “DIRECTORY OF SABBATH OBSERVING GROUPS” ON PAGES 143, PAGES 144, and 145 as THE HOUSE OF YAHWEH, WORLD HEADQUARTERS, NAZARETH ILLIT, ISRAEL, JACOB HAWKINS -OVERSEER. It is listed there along with the doctrines and beliefs and it’s goal of publishing and preaching the Evangel among all nations. In 1975 Jacob Hawkins moved to Odessa, Texas where he founded the House of Yahweh and begin his ministry in the United States, until his death on March 22, 1991.

On December 7, 2021 Kepha Arcemont filed a corporate charter in Texas named, "The House of Yahweh of Odessa, and resurrected the work called, The House of Yahweh, as started  in 1974,  by it's founder, Jacob Hawkins. The purpose of the organization is to continue the work of Yahweh in preaching and publishing the Laws of Yahweh  to the whole world. We will build upon the foundation, which was laid by Jacob Hawkins, and carried on by one of his students, Kepha Arcemont.

Kepha Arcemont moved to Texas in 1989 and joined the Abilene branch of the House of Yahweh, which was overseen by Jacobs brother,  Elder Buffalo Bill Yisrayl Hawkins. After being ordained a Deacon, Elder, and Judge in the House of Yahweh, he left  the Abilene branch in 2008, where he traveled to Tel Arad, Israel and visited  the ancient House of Yahweh, where the name "House of Yahweh" had been excavated back in the 60's and 70's and was the inspiration for Jacob Hawkins to use the name, "House of Yahweh,"  for his organization!  It is his desire to be a part of the restoration of the original House of Yahweh, which had been named The House of Yahweh of Odessa by Jacob's son, David Hawkins, after his death!  It is his goal to teach Biblical Truths and once again restore the great name of Yahweh, to those whom Yahweh is calling out of this world of sin!
